Professor Kausik Gangopadhyay is a faculty member in Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester, and an M.Stat. and B.Stat. from the Indian Statistical Institute. His academic career spans over a decade at IIM Kozhikode, where he has served as Chair of the Economics Area, Doctoral Programmes, and International Relations. Professor Gangopadhyay has been a Guest Editor and Editorial Board Member for several reputed journals, including IIMK Society and Management Review and Physics of Society (Cambridge University Press). His research interests encompass economic theory, interdisciplinary approaches to econophysics, and management culture studies. He has also led major academic initiatives, such as the international conference on Society and Management: Indian Culture vis-à-vis Western Culture (2018).
